Rick (Richard) Schwartz lives in Springfield, Virginia. He is a
graduate of Salisbury University in Maryland.

After waiting nearly four decades for a book like this, he wrote it
himself. Hurricanes and the Middle Atlantic States is a product of
nearly seven years of tireless research, hunting for anecdotes,
conducting interviews and visiting numerous libraries. The result:
Residents of the Mid-Atlantic states have a hurricane history book
they can call their own and hurricane encounter stories of universal
    interest.
